Timberland boots are quite possibly one of the most iconic styles of footwear today, instantly recognised for their ‘wheat’ colour and hard-working, durable design. The story of Timberland goes back to 1918, when founder Nathan Schwartz started his career as an apprentice stitcher in Boston, Massachusetts.
By 1965, Schwartz and his sons introduced injection-moulding technology into the footwear industry in order to make waterproof boots – a revolution at the time. In 1973, The Timberland Company was officially founded, originally creating workwear boots that would soon become a fashion icon.
Today, the Timberland brand spans men’s and women’s footwear, clothing, bags and accessories, but here at AllSole we’re all about the classics that made the brand what it is today. Take a look at our guide to the Timberland boots that make up our range below
Timberland Men’s Icon Boots
The original and the best, the Timberland Men’s Icon Boots are tough, timeless, and offer hard-working style for any look. These boots are ideal for Autumn/Winter, and have been fully embraced by the fashion crowd this season – just look at the recent Timberland collaboration with French brand A.P.C. Wear with jeans and a knit for a casual everyday look, or loose tailoring for a contemporary outfit.
Timberland Women’s Lyonsdale Chelsea Boots
Taking inspiration from the original Timberland boots but with a twist, the ‘Lyonsdale’ boots feature a textured rubber sole and chelsea boot styling. With a premium black leather finish, making them perfect for when you want a slightly dressier style of Timberlands.
Timberland Men’s Adventure 2.0 Chukka Boots
The chukka boot is a classic shoe, with this style from Timberland making a great option if you want something that falls between the sturdy boot and casual trainer. The Timberland Men’s Adventure 2.0 Chukka Boots in olive provide a stylish alternative to black, brown or navy this season.
Timberland Women’s Premium Boots
The original boot, the Timberland Women’s Premium Boots feature a similar style to the men’s Icons, only slightly slimmer. Possibly the most functional and comfortable boots you’ll own, the premium leather and subtle branding also means you won’t compromise on style.
